We are looking for a Junior Accountant who will be responsible for general accounting responsibilities. This person will assist in processes/activities that will ensure the company’s compliance with the accounting requirements.

About The Job
We are looking for a Junior Accountant who will be responsible for general accounting responsibilities. This person will assist in processes/activities that will ensure the company’s compliance with the accounting requirements.
As Junior Accountant, You Will…
- Accountability for accounting operations in Guatemala
- Prepare & record journal entries in the accounting system
- Prepare to report for internal departments based on the P&L
- Prepare lease rent schedule IFRS 16
- Prepare bank reconciliation report
- Assist the Accounting Manager with the month-end close
- Prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliation, assuring the accuracy of the information
- Corporate and Statutory regulation accounting control
- Perform other tasks that may be assigned as necessary
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance is required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounting
- Strong communication (written/verbal), problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills
- High attention to detail with an eye for accuracy
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Intermediate English language (desired)
