Data Analyst

Role purpose

Deliver accurate analysis, reporting, and dashboards that help stakeholders understand business performance

and make informed decisions. Own assigned work from the initial business question through validation and

presentation, under the general direction of the Technical Team Lead.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business questions into defined analysis and reporting requirements.
• Write SQL queries to extract, join, aggregate, and analyze data from business systems.
• Clean, transform, and model data; build and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI or other selected BI platform.
• Validate results through source reconciliation, data quality checks, and investigation of discrepancies.
• Identify trends, exceptions, and actionable findings, and explain them clearly to stakeholders.
• Document assumptions, data sources, calculations, and reporting logic.
• Plan assigned work, communicate progress, and escalate issues affecting accuracy or delivery.

Required qualifications

• Strong SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, CTEs, and window functions.
• Practical experience developing reports and dashboards in Power BI or a comparable BI tool; advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to turn a business question into an analytical approach and explain the results clearly.
• Ability to complete defined assignments independently without step-by-step supervision.
• Professional written and spoken English; availability overlapping US Central and Pacific time.
• Experience: Typically 2–4 years in data analysis or business intelligence

Preferred qualifications

• Experience analyzing ERP data, particularly Oracle EBS Finance, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing data;
• manufacturing or industrial sector experience; Python or R; and data quality, reconciliation, or exception analysis.
